Kittens for Sale!
About our kittens!
All our kittens are in-house raised, with care, love, the best food and kisses!
Our queens (the mother cat) are our pets!
Having being a mum, my way of raising kittens are as if I am grandma
and kittens are like my children(growing up) - queens love and respect me!
Devon mums want me to be with them when its time to give birth.
Most times I have to stay still and show that i am not going to go anywhere - then they will begin.

Everything is done to make their delivery go natural and well - no queen is forced to have kittens!
The only problem we have in our household is, how to stop our queens
from calling and wanting to get pregnant!
When queens come into call, they are at the back door calling out to the studs!
Our queens love their kittens and are devoted mothers!
Our white mothers are fussy in
cleaning kittens and
nearly every White Devon baby goes home with barber's rash from mum's over loving attention!

Kittens start life in our bedroom(most times)- in a basket - mum normally feeds them
and then mum jumps into bed with us!
Kittens after 3 weeks are transfered to a cot and baby food is introduced.
Mum eats in the cot, this allows the more advanced kittens who now want solids are able to do so.
Watching mum, encourages kittens to eat solids - others say "Oh no, I want mum's milk"
If I was to feed the queen in another room, she will bring meat in her mouth to her kittens!
So I have learn to feed mum with her kittens!

At around 4 to 6 weeks kittens are kitty litter trained.
Once they all have mastered both eating and going to the toilet in the right place,
they are released into the kitten room or lounge room.

Why wait until 10 weeks to allow kitten/s to go to new home?

Kittens learn many things every day.  A kitten is learning social skills up to 10 weeks
and beyond, slowly breaking the bond with mum.
Kittens become independent with their siblings, become more devoted with humans,
understand the household noises and more.
We invite the future owners to visit and teach them how to trim nails,
how to hold the kitten, bond and much more

Children and Kittens!
We do not, as a standard, just sell kittens to people who have children under 5years of age.
While its a wonderful experience for children to grow up with a pet,
the main responsibility is left to the grown ups!

Kittens need a time out place where children are not allowed to disturb the kitten while they sleep!
You should also monitor the amount of time the children play with a new kitten.
Kittens want to please, but they need to sleep, eat and recoup.
Also monitor children's friends and do not leave the kittens with them!

Teenagers and Kittens!
I have had wonderful experiences with teenagers who want the Devon for the right reasons.
A Devon Rex will be good for teens when teens are down and
under stressful times such as studying for big exams.
My daughter always thanks me for having a Devon during her time with her HSC Studies.
